Black Hawk Crane & Rigging has heavy hauling capacity up to 200,000 pounds net for intrastate hauling. The Kenworth and Peterbilt tractor fleet combines with a variety of trailers and configurations to meet any general or specialized need. The crane operators for Black Hawk Crane & Rigging are highly skilled, Montana licensed and certified by the Crane Institute of North America. |

Lifting is accomplished with a variety of cranes which include lattice boom truck cranes up to 165 ton capacity with 350' boom, hydraulic truck cranes up to 75 tons, boom trucks up to 21 tons, and all-terrain hydraulic cranes up to 120 ton capacity. Two-crane lifts are our specialty. Black Hawk Crane & Rigging also has various tractor and trailer combinations to meet any general of specialized need. When a crane goes out on a job, an Operator, Rigger and basic rigging are provided. Each crane is examined by a certified crane inspector and maintained in our fully-equipped maintenance facility. The primary field of operation is in the oil and methane fields of the Powder River Basin and support for the 17 open pit coal mines surrounding Gillette, Wyoming; services are also provided for the surrounding states. |

As
a special project, Black Hawk Crane & Rigging
moved an engine, tender and drover car for the 1880's
Train Company from Hill City, South Dakota to Santa
Fe, New Mexico and home again. The train was used
in the mini series "Into The West." |

Black Hawk Crane & Rigging was established by Arthur C. "Ace" Rogen 28 years ago and has grown from a single truck and crane to the thriving business it is today. Ace's son Chuck is a crane operator and Operations Manager and his daughter Kriss is Office Manager. Black Hawk's people are the brightest and best and are the company's biggest assets. Several of the employees have been with the company for over 25 years, many over 15 and most over five years. Matt Turner is the Dispatcher and has been with the company for 15 years.
